How can I reset the Faces database so I can start all over again

I want to clear the Photos Faces database because I want to start from scratch. When I want to put a name to a face, it gives me all these other names that are similar but are not even in my contact list. Please help!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

You can delete the Faces stacks from the Faces tile.

Open the Faces album from the sidebar, the select each stack of recognised Faces and delete it by pressing "Remove":

That will delete all references to that person's name from Photos.

Quit Photos and restart your Mac after you delete the assigned faces.

This will ensure, that the modified Faces list will be saved to the Photos library.

I'm having a similar issue. I was tagging my daughter (Amanda) and accidentally typed 'Ama' and hit enter before selecting her name from the list. So it put the picture as "Ama", and I deleted that from the Faces album fine, but still after quitting and restarting the Mac, when I try tagging a face, this Ama person comes up in the quick dropdown list. It's more annoying than a problem, but I'd like to get rid of it from that list too.
